Ladies & Gentlemen,
We are really honored by your presence here today at the Investiture Ceremony to confer Pakistani Civil Awards on the three eminent Turkish personalities who have played an outstanding role in further strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations. The Pakistan and Turkey relationship is fortunate to have been nurtured by outstanding individuals like Mr. Ali Sahin, Mr. Muhammad Balta and Dr. Selami Kilic.
On a personal note, I am personally grateful to Mr. Ali Sahin for all his affection, kindness and guidance to me. My every interaction with Mr. Ali Sahin has made me more convinced of the vision, maturity and sagacity of the Turkish leadership. With every interaction I also became more convinced that Pakistan-Turkey relationship has been nurtured by enormous efforts of our earlier generations and now the responsibility lies with us to further strengthen it and pass this sacred trust to our younger generations.. Having studied in Pakistan and proficient in the Urdu language; Mr. Ali Sahin is the most appropriate inheritor of this great tradition
Similarly, in H.E. Mr. Muhammad Balta, I always saw a Turkish leader with great vision and understanding. I always learned from his wise advice and guidance, but the most important thing is his exemplary love and affection towards Pakistan. As the former Chairman of Pakistan Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Muhammad Balta made outstanding contributions towards furthering the Inter-Parliamentary relations between the two countries and went out of this way to play host to visiting parliamentary delegations from Pakistan.
Likewise, Dr. Selami Kilic is more than a brother and a friend. His notable contributing to the health sector of Pakistan needs no introduction. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be present with us here today owing to his last-minute official commitments. During the recent COVID-19 crisis; Dr. Selami was always just a call away, thereby reaffirming his commitment and support towards Pakistan and its people. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Selami for all his cooperation always.
I am extremely pleased that we are gathered here today at this investiture ceremony to confer on these remarkable gentlemen and friends of Pakistan, Civil Award on behalf of the President of Pakistan.
