Pakistani leadership condols with Turkey over Helicopter crash

ANKARA, 11 November 2012: The leadership of Pakistan has condoled with the people and Government of Republic ofTurkey over the Helicopter crash in Siirt province that resulted in the death of 17 Turkish soldiers.
 
President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari in his message to Turkish President Mr. Abdullah Gul said:
“I have learnt with great sadness that a helicopter accident in Siirt has resulted in a tragic loss of seventeen Turkish soldiers.  As a nation which has lost so many of its own in the fight against terrorism, we, in Pakistan, keenly feel this loss. Crowned by the glory of martyrdom, the supreme sacrifice of these brave soldiers will never be in-vain.  On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the Turkish nation in this hour of national grief.”
Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf in his condolence message to his counterpart Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said:
“…This tragic incident illustrates the real and present dangers faced by our brave soldiers in the sacred duty of protecting their motherland. By sacrificing their today, these selfless sons ensure for their nation a secure and prosperous tomorrow.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of each martyr. The people of Pakistan mourn with their Turkish brethren the loss of each one of these heroes.”
