ISTANBUL, 2 April 2012: With the objective to showcase the beauty andcultural diversity of Pakistanand to reinforce the existing bonds of friendship and brotherhood between thepeople of Pakistan and Turkey, the Consulate General of Pakistan hasorganized a Fashion Show and Pakistan Food Gala on 3rd April 2012 at Sheraton Maslakhotel in Istanbul.The event is an extension of Pakistan Cultural Week celebrations heldearlier at Ankara under the theme ‘Jeevay JeevayPakistan.’
Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul,Dr. Yousaf Junaid said main objective of the event is to reinforce the eternalbonds of brotherhood and friendship that exist between Turkey and Pakistan.
We want the people of Istanbul to see, enjoyand appreciate the cultural diversity, synchronized in harmony with the growingfashion industry of Pakistan,he added.
Known as Pakistan’squeen of classic haute couture, Ms Nilofer Shahid will present a fashion showon the theme of ‘Iqbal and Rumi.’ Later on, the guests will be served a varietyof food which will be a blend of Pakistani and Turkish cuisine. Chefs from Pakistan, specially brought to Turkey for the cultural weekevents, will prepare the exquisite Pakistani dishes.
