Pakistan and Turkey to enhance media cooperation

ANKARA, 2 June 2015:  Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Sohail Mahmood visited the headquarters of Turkish Radio & Television (TRT) in Ankara today and met with its Director General Mr. Şenol GOKA. Views were exchanged on media cooperation and further strengthening mutual collaboration between TRT and Pakistan Television (PTV) and Radio Pakistan (PBC).

Ambassador Sohail Mahmood appreciated the important role that TRT is playing in increasing mutual awareness through preparation of documentaries focused on aspects of Pakistan-Turkey relations.

Among other things, it was agreed to work for frequent exchange of visits, exchange of programmes,

joint production, and learning from each other’s experience and best practices. It was also highlighted that regular interface between producers, artists, musicians and writers between the two countries would further promote bilateral cultural relations.
