Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif
has said that Government of Pakistan welcomes renewable energy projects and has
enforced polices which are investment in these projects.
“Pakistan offers good opportunities of investment in the
renewable energy as the country is blessed with vast natural resources”.
The Minister for Water and Power was talking to a delegation
of Zurlo Energy (Pvt.) Limited, the largest Solar company in Turkey led by Mr.
Ibrahim Sinan, General Manager of the company which called on him at Islamabad
on 8 September 2015.
It was apprised that the Zurlu Enerjy (Pvt.) Limited has
completed the 56.4MW in Wind Power Plants in 2013 and is interested to make
investment in 200 MW of solar power and
100 MW Wind power projects in the country.
The Minister said that all possible assistance would be
extended for the facilitation of foreign investors in the country, particularly
in the energy sectors. He also lauded
the role of the Turkish government in the infrastructure development in
Pakistan.
