ANKARA, 13 June 2018: A captivating performance illustrating myriad facets of Pakistani culture enthralled thousands on Tuesday night at Keçiören, Ankara. The occasion was the celebration of “Pakistan Night” as part of the 9thInternational Ramazan Festivities, hosted by the Municipality of Keçiören.
Mayor Mustafa Ak in his welcome address highlighted the importance of KeçiörenMunicipality’s international festivities programme, stating that it helped the people of Ankara to know more about friendly countries’ cultures. He deeply appreciated Pakistan’s participation in their International Ramazan Festivities for the third consecutive year.
DHM Ali Asad Gilani paid rich tributes to Mayor Mustafa Ak on his services for promoting Pakistan-Turkey relations. Highlighting the special and abiding nature of Pakistan-Turkey relations, he noted that these relations are based on eternal bonds of love and brotherhood nurtured by our forefathers and strengthened by successive generations. He thanked the Mayor and the Youth Wing of AK Party of Keçiören for planting 140 trees in memory of the schoolchildren martyred in a terrorist attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School in December 2014. 
Later, students from Pakistan Embassy School, and Pakistani dance group “Hobi Sanat Merkezi” (HSM) presented a vibrant show. The performances portraying multiple dimensions of the rich and diverse culture of Pakistan heartily applauded by the large audience.
Keçiören Municipality Mayor Mr. Mustafa Ak, Deputy Head of Mission of Pakistan Embassy Syed Ali Asad Gilani, and other dignitaries also jointly performed the opening ceremony of Pakistan House (Pavilion). A broad range of Pakistani products including coffee table books, textiles, traditional handicrafts, truck art, photographic display of Pakistan’s natural beauty and tourism materials were on display.
Other key attraction at the Pakistan Pavilion included a Beetle car, painted in unique truck art of Pakistan and Pakistani Henna. Visitors of all ages enthusiastically took photographs with Pakistani truck art painted car. Long queues of female visitors also availed themselves of the free henna (mehandi) offered at Pakistan Pavilion.
