KONYA,
8 June 2016: Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) of Pakistan Air Force
(PAF), Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan attended the Turkish Air Force’s
multinational exercise Anatolian Eagle in Konya, Turkey.
Held
in Konya, from 26 May to 10 June, hosted by Turkish Air Force while air arms of
NATO, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Italy and the Netherlands are
participating in the Anatolian Eagle multinational exercise. A total of 67
aircraft and 1200 personnel from seven countries are participating in the
exercise. Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is participating for the 10th time,
with 6 F-16 fighter aircraft and 90 personnel including aircrew and technicians.
By
flying an F-16 jet himself, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) of PAF Air
Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Defence Attache of Pakistan in Turkey Air
Commodore Abbas Ghumman participated in the Distinguished Visitors Day on 7
June 2016 in Konya.
Turkish
Air Force Chief, Royal Saudi Air Chief, senior officials from Azerbaijan, Italy
and Netherlands also witnessed the Anatolian Eagle multinational exercise.
Earlier,
Ambassador of Pakistan Sohail Mahmood visited the exercise area and met with
participating Pakistani military personnel. He also called on the Base Commander
of TAF Base Konya.
Konya, Turkey, this exercise is hosted by the Turkish Air Force, include air arms of many NATO and Asian countries participate.
