“Keşmir için Sanal Koşu” girişimi Türkiye'de başlatıldı

 ANKARA, 25 Ağustos 2020: Ankara'daki Pakistan büyükelçiliği bugün düzenlenen sanal bir törenle Yasadışı Hint İşgalindeki Cammu ve Keşmir'in (İoK) ezilen halkıyla dayanışma duygularını ifade etmeyi amaçlayan "Keşmir için Sanal Koşu" insani girişimini başlattı. 

Bu olayda bir video mesajı aracılığıyla konuşan Pakistan'ın Türkiye büyükelçisi Syrus Sajjad Qazi İoK'de devam eden askeri ablukanın 5 Ağustos 2019'daki yasadışı ve tek yanlı Hint eylemlerinden beri bir yıldan fazla süredir devam ettiğini söyledi.  Bu süre boyunca, işgal altındaki bölgede devam eden insan hakları ve insani koşullar önceden benzeri görülmemiş bir dereceye kadar kötüleşt; İnsan Hakları Yüksek Komiserliği Bürosu (OHCHR), İİT Bağımsız ve Kalıcı İnsan Hakları Komisyonu (OIC IPHRC) ve insan hakları kuruluşları, sivil toplum, çeşitli ülkelerin parlamentoları ve uluslararası medya kuruluşlarının hepsi bu zalimlikleri belgelemiş ve lanetlemiştir. 

 

Kendisi şunu ekledi ki, bölgedeki uzun süren hapis kalma, rastgele gözaltılar, sahte "karşı karşıya gelmeler" ve yargısız infazlar, Keşmirli protestoculara karşı ayrım gözetmeksizin rastgele güç kullanımı, ki buna pellet silahları da dahildir ve Keşmirli politik liderlerin gözaltına alınmaya devam edilmesi olaylarının tümü insanlığın ortak vicdanı üzerinde birer lekedir.  

 

Büyükelçi İoK'deki Keşmirlilerin çektiği acıların tüm platformlarda vurgulanması için ahlaki sorumluluğun yerine getirilmeye devam edilmesinin öneminin altını çizdi.  Kendisi "Keşmir için Koşu" girişiminin bu küresel çabaların bir parçası olduğunu söyledi ve Türkiye'deki Pakistan topluluğunu ve öğrencilerini bu girişime katılmaya davet etti.  Bu girişimin amacının küresel bir sanal Maratonun bir parçası olarak Keşmirlilere destek olmak istediğini ifade etmek isteyen herkesi cesaretlendirmek olduğunu söyledi.  Bu maratonda atılacak her adımın adalete doğru atılmış bir adım olacağını ve Keşmirlilere vazgeçilmez kendi kaderlerini belirleme haklarını elde etmeleri için yardımcı olacağını söyledi.

“Virtual Run for Kashmir” initiative launched in Turkey

 ANKARA, 25 August 2020: The Embassy of Pakistan Ankara, in a virtual ceremony held today, launched the “Virtual Run for Kashmir” humanitarian initiative that aims to express solidarity with the oppressed people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

 

Speaking via a video message on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, Syrus Sajjad Qazi, said that the military siege in IIOJ&K had continued for over a year since the illegal and unilateral Indian actions of 5 August 2019. During this time, the human rights and the humanitarian situation in the occupied region had deteriorated to an unprecedented level, with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR); OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (OIC IPHRC); as well as independent human rights organizations; civil society; parliaments of numerous countries; as well as international media organizations had all documented and condemned these atrocities. 

 

He added that prolonged lockdown; arbitrary detentions, fake “encounters” and extra-judicial killings; indiscriminate and arbitrary use of force, including pellet guns, against unarmed Kashmiri protestors; and continued detention of the Kashmiri political leaders were all a blot on the collective conscience of the humanity. 

 

Ambassador Qazi underlined the importance of continuing to fulfil our moral responsibility to highlight the suffering of the Kashmiris in IIOJ&K at all platforms. He said that “Run for Kashmir” initiative was part of these global efforts, and invited the Pakistani community and students in Turkey to join the initiative. He said that the purpose of the initiative was to encourage everyone to express their support for the Kashmiris by being part of a global virtual Marathon. He said that every step as part of this marathon would be a step towards justice and helping Kashmiris attain their inalienable right to self-determination.

Pakistan’ın Sivil Ödülleri Ankara'da düzenlenen bir Ödül Töreninde önde gelen Türk kişilere verildi

ANKARA: 15 Ağustos: Pakistan'ın Türkiye Büyükelçisi Ekselansları Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi Pakistan'ın yüksek sivil ödüllerini Ankara'da Cuma akşamı düzenlenen saygın bir törende önde gelen Türk kişilere verdi. 

Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanı prestijli “Sitar-i-Pakistan” ödülünü Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisindeki Türkiye-Pakistan Parlamentolar Arası Dostluk Grubu Başkanı Sayın Ali Şahin'e sundu.  Cumhurbaşkanı aynı zamanda Türk Parlamentosundaki Çevre Komisyonu Başkanı ve Türkiye-Pakistan Parlamentolar Arası Dostluk Grubunun eski başkanı olan Sayın Muhammet Balta'ya da “Sitar-i-Pakistan” ödülünü verdi.  Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanı ayrıca Türkiye Sağlık Bakanlığı dış ilişkiler bölümü başkanı Dr. Selami Kılıç'a da “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” ödülü verdi.  Yurtdışındaki seyahatinden dolayı, Dr. Selami Kılıç ödülünü sonra alacaktır.  Ödüller saygıdeğer Türk kişilerine Pakistan-Türkiye ilişkilerini geliştirmek ve güçlendirmek için yaptıkları hizmetler için verildi.  

 

Misafirlere hitap eden Büyükelçi Syrus Qazi kıdemli parlamenterler Ali Şahin ve Muhammet Balta'nın Pakistan-Türkiye ilişkilerini daha da sağlamlaştırmaya yönelik benzersiz hizmetlerini ve katkılarını övdü.  Pakistan-Türkiye ilişkilerinin daha önceki nesillerin olağanüstü çabalarıyla geliştiğine dikkat çeken Büyükelçi Qazi bunları daha da güçlendirmek ve bu kutsal güveni daha genç nesillerimize aktarmak için sorumluluğun üzerimizde olduğunu söyledi.  

 

Sayın Ali Şahin ve Muhammet Balta konuşmalarında bu prestijli ödülleri kendilerine verdiği için Pakistan Hükümetine teşekkür ettiler.  Pakistan-Türkiye kardeşlik bağlarının geliştirilmesi için kararlılıklarını yeniden ifade ettiler.  

 

Ödül alan kişilerin takdirnameleri okundu.  Ali Şahin AK Parti'den eski bir politikacıdır.  Lisans ve Yüksek Lisans eğitimini Karaçi Üniversitesinde tamamlamıştır ve çok iyi Urduca konuşur.  Pakistan'ın gerçek bir dostu ve iyi dileklerini isteyen kişi olarak, kendisini Pakistanlı sayar.  Pakistan-Türkiye ilişkilerini güçlendirmek için politik kariyeri boyunca sayısız hizmette bulunmuştur.

 

Trabzon'dan gelen Muhammet Balta AK Parti'den eski bir politikacıdır.  Pakistan dostluğunun Türk Parlamentosundaki önemli bir temsilcisidir.  Kendisi aynı zamanda Türkiye-Pakistan Parlamentolar Arası Dostluk Grubunun da başkanlığını yaptı ve iki ülke parlamentoları arasındaki ilişkileri daha da geliştirmek için olağanüstü katkılarda bulundu ve Pakistan'dan gelen Parlamenter heyetleri ağırlamak için elinden geleni yaptı.  Sayın Balta aynı zamanda çeşitli platformlarda Hint güçleri tarafından Yasadışı Hint İşgalindeki Cammu ve Keşmir'de yapılan zalimliklere karşı güçlü bir ses olmuştur. 

 

Türkiye Adalet Bakanı Abdulhamit GÜL, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi üyeleri, kıdemli Türk politikacıları ve medya bu olaya katıldı.  

Pakistan’s Civil Awards conferred upon leading Turkish personalities at Investiture Ceremony in Ankara

 

ANKARA: 15 August: Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey H.E. Mr. Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi presented Pakistan’s high civil awards to leading Turkish personalities at a dignified ceremony held in Ankara on Friday evening.

The President of Pakistan had conferred the prestigious “Sitar-i-Pakistan” upon Mr. Ali Şahin, President of Turkey-Friendship Inter-Parliamentary Group in Turkish Grand National Assembly. The President also conferred “Sitar-i-Pakistan” upon Mr. Muhammet Balta, Chairman of the Environment Commission in Turkish Parliament and former President of Turkey-Friendship Inter-Parliamentary Group. The President of Pakistan also conferred “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” upon Dr. Selami Kiliç who is the head of foreign relations division at the Turkish Ministry of Health. Due to his overseas visit, Dr. Selami will receive the award later. The awards were conferred upon the Turkish dignitaries for their services for promoting and strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations. 

 

Addressing guests at the ceremony, Ambassador Syrus Qazi lauded the invaluable services and contributions of the veteran parliamentarians Ali Şahin and Muhammet Balta towards further cementing Pakistan-Turkey relations. Noting that Pakistan-Turkey relationship has been nurtured by enormous efforts of our earlier generations, Ambassador Qazi said the responsibility lies with us to further strengthen it and pass this sacred trust to our younger generations.

 

Mr. Ali Şahin and Muhammet Balta in their remarks thanked the Government of Pakistan for the conferment of these prestigious awards on them. They reiterated the resolve to continue their efforts for the promotion of Pakistan-Turkey brotherly ties.

 

Citations of the dignitaries were read out. Mr. Ali Şahin is a seasoned politician belonging to the AK Party. He completed his Bachelors and Masters from University of Karachi and speaks fluent Urdu. As a true friend and well-wisher of Pakistan, he considers himself to be Pakistani. He has rendered innumerable services for strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations throughout his political career. 

 

Hailing from Trabzon, Muhammet Balta is a seasoned politician from the AK Party. He is a strong proponent of friendship with Pakistan in the Turkish Parliament. He also served as the Chair of Turkey-Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and made outstanding contributions towards furthering the Inter-Parliamentary relations between the two countries and went out of this way to play host to visiting parliamentary delegations from Pakistan. Mr. Balta is also a strong voice against the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir on different platforms.

Pakistan Bağımsızlık Günü Ankara'da kutlandı

ANKARA, 14 Ağustos 2020: 74. Pakistan Bağımsızlık günü bugün Ankara'da geleneksel bir coşkuyla kutlandı. Pakistan Büyükelçisi M. Syrus Sajjad Qazi Pakistan topluluğunun, öğrencilerin, Büyükelçilik çalışanlarının ve ailelerinin önünde Pakistan bayrağını göndere çekti. Törende Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanının ve Başbakanının mesajları da okundu. Pakistan liderleri ayrı ayrı mesajlarında Pakistan'ın kurucu atalarının fedakarlıklarına derinden şükranlarını sundu. Pakistan'ı Kaid-i Azam Muhammed Ali Cinnah'ın ve Allame Muhammed İkbal'in vizyonuna uygun olarak dönüştürmek için söz verdiler. Pakistanlı liderler ayrıca son bir yıldır askeri abluka altında olan Yasadışı Hint İşgalindeki Cammu ve Keşmir halkıyla dayanışmalarını ifade ettiler ve Pakistan'ın kendi kaderlerini belirleme haklarına verdiği politik, moral ve diplomatik desteklerini teyit ettiler. Büyükelçi Syrus Qazi konuşmasında 14 Ağustos'un alt kıta tarihinde önemli bir gün olduğunu söyledi çünkü 1974'de bugün bağımsız bir Pakistan hayali gerçekleşmiştir. Kendisi Türkiye'deki Pakistan topluluğuna çok çalışmalarını ve işlerinde Pakistan'ın olumlu imajını tanıtmalarını söyledi. Büyükelçi Qazi aynı zamanda Türk halkına ve liderlerine kutlama mesajları için teşekkür etti. Bağımsızlık Günü kutlamalarının bir parçası olarak, Büyükelçilik Ankara Kızılay Metro Sanat Galerisi'nde 13-20 Ağustos'ta devam edecek olan "Türklerin gözüyle Pakistan'ın renkleri" adında bir fotoğraf sergisi düzenledi. Dahası, Ankara'nın anıt binalarından ve en uzun kulelerinden ve en iyi ışıklandırılan binası olan "Atakule" Pakistan Bağımsızlık Günü boyunca Pakistan-Türkiye mesajlarıyla ışıklandırılacaktır. Bugün burada üç seçkin Türk’e sunacağımız Devlet Nişanı Takdim töreninde bulunmanız bizleri onurlandırdı. Bu kişilerin Pakistan – Türkiye ilişkilerinin güçlenmesinde öne çıkan rolleri olmuştur. Pakistan – Türkiye ilişkileri Sayın Ali Sahin, Sayın Muhammad Balta ve Dr. Selami Kilic gibi öne çıkan isimlerle beslendiği için çok şanslı. 

 

Kişisel bir not olarak; Sayın Ali Şahin’in bana karşı gösterdiği ilgi, nezaket ve rehberliği için şahsi olarak müteşekkirim. Sayın Ali Şahin’le her etkileşimimizde beni Türk Liderliğinin görüş, olgunluk ve bilgeliğine daha da inandırdı. Her türlü karşılıklı ilişkide ayrıca Pakistan – Türkiye ilişkilerinin bizden önceki kuşakların üstün çabaları ile beslendiğine daha da inandım. Bundan sonra bu ilişkiyi daha da geliştirmek ve bu kutsal güveni gençlerimize aktarmak bizim görevimiz. Üniversite eğitimini Pakistan’da aldığı ve Urdu dilinde usta olduğu için Sayın Ali Şahin bu mükemel geleneğe uygun bir mirasçıdır. 

 

Aynı şekilde, Ekselansları Sayın Muhammet Balta’da da mükemmel vizyonu ve anlayışı olan bir Türk Lider görüyorum. Kendisinin bilge tavsiyeleri ve rehberliğinden hep birşeyler öğrendim ama en önemlisi kendisinin Pakistan’a karşı duyduğu sevgisi ve alakasıdır. Sayın Muhammet Balta Pakistan- Türkiye Parlamentolar Arası Dostluk Grubu Eski Başkanı olarak iki ülke Parlamentoları arası ilişkileri  geliştirmek için önemli bir destek vermişitr ve Pakistan Parlamenterler heyetini ağırlama konusunda rol oynamıştır. 

Aynı şekilde, Dr. Selami Kilic kardeş ve arkadaştan daha ötedir. Kendisinin Pakistan Sağlık Sektörüne yaptığı önemli desteği anlatmayız bile. Malesef kendisi son dakkika çıkan resmi görevinden dolayı aramızda bulunamıyacak. COVID-19 krizinde Dr. Selami’nin herzaman bir telefon uzağımızda olması, Pakistan ve Pakistan halkına bağlılığının ve desteğini yeniden teyid olmuştur. Dr. Selami’nin işbirliğine herzaman içten müteşekkirim.

Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanı adına bu değerli beyfendilere ve dostlarımıza Pakistan Devlet Nişanı’nı sunmaktan ötürü burada toplanmamızdan dolayı da memnuniyet duymaktayım.

Ladies & Gentlemen,

 

We are really honored by your presence here today at the Investiture Ceremony to confer Pakistani Civil Awards on the three eminent Turkish personalities who have played an outstanding role in further strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations. The Pakistan and Turkey relationship is fortunate to have been nurtured by outstanding individuals like Mr. Ali Sahin, Mr. Muhammad Balta and Dr. Selami Kilic. 

On a personal note, I am personally grateful to Mr. Ali Sahin for all his affection, kindness and guidance to me. My every interaction with Mr. Ali Sahin has made me more convinced of the vision, maturity and sagacity of the Turkish leadership. With every interaction I also became more convinced that Pakistan-Turkey relationship has been nurtured by enormous efforts of our earlier generations and now the responsibility lies with us to further strengthen it and pass this sacred trust to our younger generations.. Having studied in Pakistan and proficient in the Urdu language; Mr. Ali Sahin is the most appropriate inheritor of this great tradition

Similarly, in H.E. Mr. Muhammad Balta, I always saw a Turkish leader with great vision and understanding. I always learned from his wise advice and guidance, but the most important thing is his exemplary love and affection towards Pakistan. As the former Chairman of Pakistan Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Muhammad Balta made outstanding contributions towards furthering the Inter-Parliamentary relations between the two countries and went out of this way to play host to visiting parliamentary delegations from Pakistan. 

Likewise, Dr. Selami Kilic is more than a brother and a friend. His notable contributing to the health sector of Pakistan needs no introduction. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be present with us here today owing to his last-minute official commitments. During the recent COVID-19 crisis; Dr. Selami was always just a call away, thereby reaffirming his commitment and support towards Pakistan and its people. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Selami for all his cooperation always. 

I am extremely pleased that we are gathered here today at this investiture ceremony to confer on these remarkable gentlemen and friends of Pakistan, Civil Award on behalf of the President of Pakistan.

74th Independence Day of Pakistan celebrated in Ankara

ANKARA, 14 August 2020:  The 74^th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated today in Ankara with traditional fervor. Ambassador of Pakistan, M. Syrus Sajjad Qazi, hoisted the national flag on the tune of national anthem in the presence of the Pakistani community, students, and Embassy officials and their families.

The special messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion. Pakistani leadership in their separate messages paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s forefathers. They vowed to transform Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Pakistani leadership also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir who are facing military siege since past one year and reassured Pakistan’s political, moral and diplomatic support for their right to self-determination.

Ambassador Syrus Qazi in his remarks said that fourteenth August is an important date in the history of the Sub-continent, as on this day in 1947, the dream of an independent Pakistan became a reality. He urged Pakistan community in Turkey to work hard and promote positive image of Pakistan through their conduct. Ambassador Qazi also thanked the people and Turkish leadership for their messages of felicitation.

 

As part of commemorations of Independence Day, the Embassy has organized a photography exhibition “Colours of Pakistan – Seen Through the Eyes of Turks” from 13-20 August at Metro Sanat Galerisi, Kızılay, Ankara.

 

Moreover, “Atakule,” one of Ankara’s landmarks, one of its tallest towers, and its best lit building, is carrying messages of Pakistan-Turkey solidarity during on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day. Atakule is situated on Jinnah Road that also has Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s monument right opposite to it.

 

On behalf of the President of Pakistan, the Ambassador of Pakistan will be presenting Pakistan’s high civil awards to Turkish personalities at a dignified ceremony in Ankara this evening.

"Türklerin Gözünden Pakistan'ın Renkleri" Fotoğraf sergisi Ankara'da Başladı

ANKARA, 13 Ağustos: "Türklerin Gözünden Pakistan'ın Renkleri" adlı bir fotoğraf sergisi bugün Ankara'da başladı.  Ankara'daki Pakistan Büyükelçiliği, Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi ve Anadolu Ajansıyla işbirliği içinde bu sergiyi Pakistan'ın 74. Bağımsızlık Günü kutlamalarının bir parçası olarak düzenledi.    

Anadolu Ajansı Baş Editörü ve Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Metin Mutanoğlu açılış töreninin onur konuğuydu.  Çok sayıda saygıdeğer Türk, Pakistan topluluğu üyeleri ve dışarıdaki halk açılış törenine katıldılar.  

 

Açılış töreninde konuklara hitap eden Metin Mutanoğlu kardeş Pakistan-Türkiye ilişkilerinin tarihte derin kökleri olduğunu ve bizim Tek Millet – İki Devlet olduğumuzu söyledi.  Metin Bey "Biz Pakistan'ı ikinci evimiz olarak görüyoruz ve çocukluğumuzdan beri Cive Pakistan'ı ve Pakistan sevgisini biliyoruz" diye konuştu.  Böyle daha fazla sergi açılması için desteklerini yeniden ifade ederek, ikili kültürel bağlarımızı geliştirmeye yardımcı olan serginin düzenlenmesini memnuniyetle karşıladı.  Kendisi ayrıca fotoğrafları aracılığıyla Pakistan'ı Türkiye'ye tanıtmak için mükemmel bir çaba gösteren Türk fotoğrafçıların artistik kabiliyetlerini övdü.

 

Bu olayda görüşlerini bildiren Pakistan'ın Türkiye Büyükelçisi Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi Pakistan ve Türkiye'nin çabalarının iki ülke arasındaki mükemmel politik ilişkileri ve güçlü ekonomik ortaklığı daha da geliştirmek için harcandığını söyledi.  Büyükelçi ümit etti ki, bu fotoğraf sergisinin düzenlenmesi ile, ikili kültürel işbirliğimiz ve kişiler arası değişimler daha da güçlenecektir.  Gösterilen fotoğraf eserleri üzerinde yorum yaparak, fotoğrafçıların dikkatli gözlerinin Pakistan'ın olağanüstü görüntülerini yakalamış olduğunu söyledi.  Büyükelçi Qazi bu sergilerin Pakistan'ın doğal güzelliklerini, insanlarının canlılığını ve kültürünün çeşitliliğini ve zenginliğini yansıttığını belirtti.  

 

Katılan fotoğrafçıların her ikisi de konuşmalarında Pakistan'ı zengin kültürü, güzel manzaraları, harika doğal güzellikleri ve hepsinin üstünde misafirperver halkıyla "fotoğrafçılar için bir cennet" olarak nitelendirdi.    

 

Sergi Anadolu Ajansı fotoğrafçısı Metin Aktaş'ın ve tanınmış kaligrafi sanatçısı, animasyon tasarımcısı ve fotoğrafçı İsmet Keten'in 52 tane fotoğrafından oluşmuştur.  Anadolu Ajansının zengin arşivlerinden fotoğraflar ve bazı Pakistanlı sanatçıların fotoğrafları da serginin bir kısmını oluşturur.  Sergi Ankara Kızılay Metro Sanat Galerisi'nde 20 Ağustos'a kadar devam edecektir.  Serginin gösterildiği yer Ankara'nın en işlek yerlerinden birisidir ve binlerce kişi hafta boyu sürecek olan sergiyi ziyaret etme fırsatını bulacaktır.

Photo Exhibition “Colours of Pakistan – Seen Through the Eyes of Turks” launched in Ankara

ANKARA, 13 August: A photography exhibition titled “Colours of Pakistan – Seen Through the Eyes of Turks” was launched today in Ankara. The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara has organized this exhibition in collaboration with the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and Anadolu Agency, as part of Pakistan's 74^th Independence Day celebrations.  

Mr. Metin Mutanoğlu, Editor in Chief and Deputy Director General of Anadolu Agency was the guest of honour at the inauguration ceremony. A large number of Turkish dignitaries, members of Pakistan community and general public attended the opening ceremony.

 

Addressing guests at the launching ceremony, Metin Mutanoğlu said brotherly Pakistan-Turkey are deeply rooted in history and we are One Nation – Two States. “We consider Pakistan our second home and we learnt Jeevay Pakistan and love for Pakistan since our childhood,” said Mr. Metin. Re-assuring his support for more such exhibitions, he appreciated holding of the exhibition, which will help in promoting our bilateral cultural ties. He also lauded the artistic talent of Turkish photographers for their excellent efforts to introduce Pakistan to Turkey through their photographs.

 

In his remarks on the occasion, Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkey Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi stated that Pakistan-Turkey efforts were underway to further promote the excellent political ties and strong economic partnership between Pakistan and Turkey. The Ambassador hoped that by holding the photography exhibition, bilateral cultural collaboration and people-to-people exchanges would be further strengthened. Commending the photographic works on display, he said the photographers’ observant eyes had captured remarkable images of Pakistan. Ambassador Qazi said these exhibits illustrated the natural beauty of Pakistan, the vibrancy of its people, and the diversity and richness of its culture. 

 

Both the participating photographers in their remarks termed Pakistan as a ‘heaven for photographers’ with rich culture, beautiful landscape, immense natural beauty and above all hospitable people.  

 

The Exhibition consists of 52 photographs featuring the works of Mr Metin Aktaş, photo reporter of Anadolu Agency and Mr. Ismet Keten, renowned calligrapher, animator and photographer. Photographs from the rich archives of Anadolu Agency as well as some Pakistani artists also forms part of the exhibition. The Exhibition will continue till 20 August at the Metro Sanat Galerisi, Kızılay, Ankara. Exhibition venue is one of the busiest places in Ankara and thousands of people will have the opportunity to visit the weeklong exhibition.

Assalam-o-Alaikum and Good Evening!

 

It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you all.

 

We are honoured by the presence of a large number of distinguished guests at this opening ceremony of the Photography Exhibition, which is a part of the 74^th Independence Day celebrations of Pakistan. 

 

At the outset, I wish to express our gratitude to Anadolu Agency and the Ankara Buyukşehir Belediyesi for their valuable support in co-organizing this Exhibition. 

 

We are also delighted to have Mr. Metin Mutanoglu, Editor in Chief of Anadolu Agency as the Chief Guest. 

 

 

Our deep thanks are owed to the participating artists Mr. Ismet Keten and Mr. Mettin Aktaş. Their observant eyes have captured remarkable images of Pakistan.

 

As you will see, the exhibits here illustrate the natural beauty of Pakistan, the vibrancy of its people, and the diversity and richness of its culture.

The relationship between the peoples of Pakistan and Turkey goes back many centuries. 

 

Our commonalities of faith and culture have been reinforced by shared history and an abiding tradition of always standing by each other. 

 

Successive generations in both countries have nurtured this unique relationship, which continues to flourish with the passage of time.

Political Map of Pakistan as released on 4th August 2020

 

ISLAMABAD,  4 August 2020: Prime Minister Imran Khan on 4th August unveiled a political map of Pakistan at a ceremony, saying the whole political leadership of the country, Federal Cabinet and the Kashmiri leadership fully endorsed it. Speaking on the occasion, he said the new map clearly showed the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as a disputed territory whose fate should be resolved only through implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions, guaranteeing the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

Terming it a historic day in the country’s history, Prime Minister said the only resolution to the IIOJK issue should be sought out in accordance with the UNSC resolutions, sentiments of the Pakistani nation and the Kashmiri people. “Once again, we clearly tell the world that the only resolution to the IIOJK issue is political as there is no other way,” he said, denouncing the Indian government’s illegal action of August 5 last year which clearly negated the UNSC resolutions and the international laws.

The members of the Federal Cabinet were present during the ceremony televised live by Pakistan Television Corporation.

The prime minister said the new map reflected the sentiments of Pakistani nation, the principled stance of Kashmiris for their just right to self-determination and clear negation of the illegal annexation by the Indian government. The prime minister regretted that the UNSC resolutions, which had clearly assured the Kashmiri people to exercise their right to self-determination, had not been implemented so far. He also reassured the nation and the Kashmiri people that his government would continue highlighting the issue forcefully at all global fora. The IIOJK issue would be resolved soon and the map was a step towards that destination, he added. 

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the whole nation, the Kashmiri people and especially the prime minister deserved felicitation because for the first time a political map of the country clearly showing its borders was approved by the Federal Cabinet with complete backing of all the political parties. The map reflected the true sentiments of the Pakistani nation and rejection of Indian government’s August 5 last year illegal steps, he said, adding the Indian government mocked its own people by presenting a false map of the country after illegal annexation of the internationally recognized disputed territory of IIOJK.

The foreign minister said all the political leadership, government of Pakistan and the Kashmiri leadership outrightly rejected those illegal moves as the IIOJK had been a disputed territory and required resolution in accordance with the desires of the Pakistani nation, the Kashmiri people and the UNSC resolutions.
Qureshi maintained that the map had clearly removed any confusion about the international borders. The red dotted line in the map clearly indicated that it required resolution, he added

The foreign minister said Siachen belonged to Pakistan as a part of it was illegally occupied by India, whereas the country’s map clearly defined all its borders.
He further said that Sir Creek was also a part of Pakistan where India tried to occupy the area with machinations.

The foreign minister said in the new map, the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas were now merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, with clear borders with Afghanistan. He said the Pakistani nation fully backed the Kashmiris’ struggle for just resolution of the dispute in accordance with their desires.

Ankara'daki Keşmir Kuşatma Günü olayında Yasadışı Hint İşgalindeki Cammu ve Keşmir'in ezilen halkına verilen destek yinelendi

ANKARA, 5 Ağustos 2020: Ankara'daki Pakistan Büyükelçiliği bugün Yasadışı Hint İşgalindeki Cammu ve Keşmir'in (İoK) ezilen halkıyla dayanışma göstermek için "Kuşatma Günü" adında bir olay düzenledi.  Pakistan topluluğu üyeleri, Ankara'daki Keşmirliler ve medya temsilcileri olaya katıldı. 

 

Bu olay üzerine Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanı ve Başbakanının mesajları okundu.  Pakistanlı liderler mesajlarında İoK'deki Hint zalimliklerini insanların yaşamlarını mahveden ve İoK halkının öz kimliklerini yok eden insanlık dışı suçlar olarak nitelendirdi.  Hem Cumhurbaşkanı hem de Başbakan uluslararası topluluğa Hindistan'ın Keşmir halkına karşı şu andaki davranışlarını geri almasını zorlamak amacıyla pratik adımlarla lanetleyici sözlerinin arkasında durması için çağrıda bulundu.  Pakistanlı liderler, Keşmir halkı ilgili BM Güvenlik Konseyi kararlarına göre Birleşmiş Milletlerin gözetimi altında özgür ve tarafsız bir plebisit yoluyla vazgeçilmez kendi kaderlerini belirleme haklarını gerçekleştirene kadar sağlam bir şekilde destek vermeye devam edeceklerini yineledi. 

 

Pakistan'ın Türkiye Büyükelçisi Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi konuşmasında Pakistan Cumhurbaşkanı ve Başbakanının mesajlarını teyit etti ve Pakistan'ın İoK halkına ve onların haklı mücadelesine verdiği kalıcı desteklerini iletti.   

 

Büyükelçi Cammu ve Keşmir anlaşmazlığının adil biçimde çözümü amacıyla verdikleri sarsılmaz destek için Türk ulusuna ve liderlerine teşekkür etti ve 5 Ağustos 2020'de bu konu hakkında Türk Dışişleri Bakanlığı tarafından yapılan açıklamayı memnuniyetle karşıladı. 

 

Büyükelçi Qazi aynı zamanda İoK'deki insan hakları ihlalleri hakkındaki endişelerini fiade eden Türkiye Parlamentosu İnsan Hakları İnceleme komitesi Başkanı Sayın Hakan Çavuşoğlu'nun konuşmasını da övdü.  Kendisi aynı zamanda Cammu ve Keşmir halkı ile güçlü dayanışma duygularını ifade eden Türk Parlamentosundaki Türkiye-Pakistan Parlamentolararası Dostluk Grubu Başkanı Sayın Ali Şahin'in açıklamasını da memnuniyetle karşıladı.

Kashmir Youm-e-Istehsal event in Ankara reaffirmed support to the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir

ANKARA, 5 August 2020: The Embassy of Pakistan Ankara organized an event today to observe “Youm-e-Istehsal as a show of solidarity with the oppressed people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Pakistan community members, Kashmiris living in Ankara as well as media representatives attended the event. 

 Messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion. Pakistani leadership in their messages termed Indian atrocities in IIOJK as a crime against humanity that had destroyed lives, crippled livelihoods, and imperiled the very identity of the people of IIOJK. Both President and Prime Minister reiterated the call on the international community to back its words of condemnation with practical steps that would force India to reverse its present course against the Kashmiri people. Pakistani leadership reaffirmed its steadfast support to the people of Kashmir until they realize their inalienable right to self-determination through free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations as per the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. 

 Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi in his remarks reiterated the message of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, conveyed Pakistan’s abiding support for the people of IIOJK and their just struggle. The Ambassador thanked the Turkish nation and leadership for their unwavering support for the just resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute and welcomed the statement made by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 5th August 2020 in this regard. 

 Ambassador Qazi also commended the statement by Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Inquiry Mr. Hakan Çavuşoğlu who expressed concern at the gross human rights violations in IIOJK. He also appreciated statement by Mr. Ali Şahin, Chairman of Turkey-Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in Turkish Parliament expressing strong solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. 

 A number of events are being organized across in context of commemoration of Youm-e-Istehsal (Kashmir Siege Day).

Prime Minister Imran Khan receives call from President of Turkey

ISLAMABAD, 1 August 2020: Prime Minister Imran Khan received telephone call from President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. 

Both leaders exchanged Eid greetings and best wishes for the two countries and peoples on this auspicious occasion.

Prime Minister congratulated President Erdogan on re-opening of Hagia Sophia for prayers and informed him that millions of Pakistanis watched it live on television.

The two leaders also exchanged views on a range of important issues. 

Recalling President Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan for 6th session of High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) in February 2020, Prime Minister Imran Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further fortify bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated Turkey for its role in the global fight against COVID-19 and for extending support to a number of countries, including Pakistan. 

The Prime Minister also briefed President Erdogan on the government’s strategy to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Pakistan and the particular focus on saving lives, securing livelihoods, and stimulating the economy. 

The two leaders also discussed need for Pakistan and Turkey to jointly work for medicine development.

The Pakistan-Turkey strategic relationship is underpinned by unique mutual trust, understanding and close cooperation. 

Pakistan deeply appreciates Turkey’s steadfast support for the just cause of Kashmir, which President Erdogan reaffirmed during his Address to the Joint Session of Parliament in February 2020. 

Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Erdogan agreed to stay in close contact on all issues of common interest.
