Pakistan President for further strengthening Turkey-Pakistan relations

President Mamnoon Hussain has urged on People-to-People exchanges to strengthen mutual trade between Pakistan and Turkey. While talking to Ambassador–designate to Turkey, Mr. Sohail Mahmood, who called on the President at Aiwan-e-Sadr on 11 February 2015. The President said that Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relations are steadily transforming into a strategic partnership. The President stated that the bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries are not commensurate with the actual potential. The President advised the Ambassador-designate that efforts be intensified to provide a facilitative environment for effective interface between the private sector and Turkish investors to motivate them to invest in Pakistan. The President said that the Ambassador-designate focus on strengthening cultural cooperation and convey good wishes to the Turkish leadership. The Ambassador-designate assured the President that he will put in all efforts to improve relations between the two countries.
